Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC)

SELECTION PROCESS:

• The deadline for application materials to be completed and received is Friday, March 5th.
• All eligible applications will be reviewed for the applicant's financial need, academic standing, and personal character.
• Some applicants may be contacted for further information and/or invited to participate in interviews.
• Scholarship winners will be notified by June 1, 2010.
• Scholarship recipients will be required to:
• maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA
• send transcripts at the completion of each grading term
• participate in E4FC events and meetings, including an Awards Ceremony on June 13, 2010
• complete 20 hours minimum of community service and/or professional development activities
• maintain ongoing communication with our program

• Completed Preliminary Online Application
• Completed and signed Paper Application
• Two personal essays
• High school and college transcript (if applicable), including Fall 2009 grades
• Two recommendations:  One recommendation must be provided by a teacher or academic counselor. The second recommendation can be completed by a teacher, counselor, or work/ community service supervisor. Recommendations should not be sent separately.

If selected as a finalist, you will be asked to submit:

• Most recent copy of student and parent Federal Income Tax Returns (Form 1040).  If tax returns are not available, then other documentation of family income in 2009.
• Evidence of birth in a country outside of the United States (i.e. photocopy of birth certificate or passport).

APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND DEADLINE:

• All application materials must be completed and received by Friday, March 5th.
• Online Materials: Complete and submit the Preliminary Online Application.
  
• Paper Materials:  Mail all paper application materials, including the Paper Application, essays, transcripts, and recommendations, to:
